La población afroperuana requiere un reconocimiento concreto en Políticas Públicas, la necesidad de indicadores sobre su real condición de vida; países como Chile, Argentina, Panamá, Ecuador y Colombia han incluido la variable afrodescendiente en sus censos; en la educación no hay paradigmas o referentes del aporte afroperuano a la historia nacional y el racismo hacia las mujeres afroperuanas. Este y otros temas fueron tratados en el programa Derechos & Humanos producido por la Coordinadora Nacional de Derechos Humanos.
